Bench Extension
Project Overview
The civil works at the Deniliquin Substation formed part of a 2-bay extension within an existing 132kV yard.. The scope included a bench extension to accommodate the expanded footprint, construction of two reactor bunds, and the installation of peired equipment foundations to support the new bay infrastructure. All work was completed to the tolerances required for high-voltage installations.
The project also incorporated all associated in-ground services, including pits, conduits, and subsoil drainage to support cable reticulation and site functionality. Works were undertaken within a live substation environment, requiring careful staging, coordination, and adherence to strict safety and access protocols.
The completed civil infrastructure provides a robust and compliant platform for the substation extension, supporting reliable operation and future network demand.

Step by Step Projects
Building construction is the process of creating structures such as houses, office buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure. It involves a series of stages, from the initial planning and design phase.
- Bench extension for expanded footprint
- Two reactor bunds constructed
- Paired equipment foundations installed
- Pits, conduits and subsoil drainage
